FAQ
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, I am! Please contact me at 636-200-3454 for a free 15-minute consultation to determine if my services may be a good fit for your or your family’s needs.
Do You Take insurance?
Yes, I am currently in network with UnitedHealthcare/Optum and Cigna/Evernorth. If you have a different insurance, I can provide you with a “superbill” to submit to your insurance company to see if they will allow you to access your out of network benefits, which may result in partially reimbursing you for session fees. Please be advised that if you are accessing your insurance benefits for mental health treatment, regardless of in network or out of network services, a diagnosis will need to be submitted related to treatment.
What is your rate per session?
My current rate is $100 per session for both individual and family therapy. Sessions last approximately 45 minutes. The rate is $120 for the initial assessment, as well as sessions that are 53 minutes or more in length.
How do I know if therapy is right for my child (our family)?
My experience has focused on a wide range of needs in children, adolescents, and families; from depression, anxiety, mood disorders and behavioral concerns, to attachment related issues, trauma experiences, grief and loss, family stressors and parent coaching. I’ll admit I have a biased opinion in that I believe therapy can benefit nearly anyone! However, a good rule of thumb is that if your child/adolescent has suddenly started struggling or their level of functioning has worsened in at least two areas of their life; at home with family, at school with peers or teachers, or socially with friends and extracurricular activities they previously really enjoyed, a consultation would be a good place to start.
what can I expect during the first session?
The first time we meet will mostly focus on what led you to seeking services, current concerns, family history, potential goals you would like to set and if treatment is going to focus on an individual, a parent-child relationship, the family as a whole, or some combination. We will go over what is expected from each person in therapy, policies I have in place to help with the therapeutic process, how often we should meet, and how long treatment might last.
